Fork and spoon friends

Callie has an active imagination. Everything has a name and is her friend! Here she is playing with noo-noo, doo-doo, and goo-goo ("no, no, that's mikki's mother")... "Kukuu-di-di! ("No, no, that's mikkis brother!"

First hair cut at 26 months! :P

Callie had her first haircut earlier this month and she was just too too cute! It was at sparkles and spikes (they put blue sparkles in her hair) and they let her sit in a yellow hummer (she preferred this over hello kitty). iPads and Mickey Mouse club - she did great! The blow dryer was ticklish and she got so many laughs out of that. We went for a layered side swept bangs look. I think it came out great!

Roots and Wings

Callie has really adjusted well to her preschool. All the teachers always comment on how happy she is. Last weekend they had an open house (who am I theme) - it was too cute!  And yesterday they had a tortoise come visit to share on the reptile theme they have this month. So fun!

Callie's timeline - "baby", "I'm eating a egg" (it was really a cracker) and "glasses".
Callie's growth flower

Handprint quilt - she knew exactly which was hers.

Fish hatchery

Callie and I took a trip on the fillmore train to the fish hatchery. It was so much fun! We boarded a steam engine train with a moustached train conductor and fed fish food to the ducks and fish at the hatchery. Callie got splashed on by the fishes, it was all good fun!

Blue farm bed

First night Callie sleeping in her blue farm bed. We did everything we could so she'd want to sleep there - including shipping sheets from the UK and hand painting the bed frame blue. Let's hope she's okay the rest of the night. I miss her cuddles already. Waaaahhh!

St Pattys Day

Callie had a gold hunt today for at Pattys day! We met up with our friends Marcus and katelyn and ate soda bread, hunted for leprechauns and collected 12 gold coins in our bucket that we traded in for a purple flute! Callie's first purchase with her very own hard earned money!

Callie was so sweet as she tried to share her coins with me <3

Lots of laughs and giggles playing with the colored flags. :)

Callie-sunshine

Callie is a like a ray of sunshine! Exact words from teacher Sarah at school. They call her Callie sunshine there and I get so many comments on how Callie is always so happy.  It's true - Callie is a little ray of sunshine! I love watching her play and interact with others. Today she went to teacher Sarah and asked if she could water the plants. Then she found a watering can all by herself to start watering the plants. There is a water dispenser and not everyone is do good about waiting their turn. Callie didn't mind and just waited patiently - even while one girl filled up her big bucket - which took a good 3-5 minutes! Callie went in promptly afterwards and put in a few splashes of water (3 sec or so) and went back to the garden.  I'm so amazed by your patience Callie! <3

Callie and I have a special I love you chant... Which Callie made up all by herself! We will say... "I" (point to self), "love" (make heart symbol with our hands) "you!" (Point to each other)... We do it over and over and it makes me so happy! Love you Callie!!

W: Callie, you are getting bigger now. It's time for you to have a job. Your job will be to feed Willie snacks.
C: no, I don't want that job.
W: what job do you want.
C: to eat.
W: you want a job where you eat food?
C: yes!
W: o_O

Callie had a little lamb

Callie has a new friend - lamb! It's supposed to be her calm down lamb for use in her safe spot, but I'm finding that it has an opposite effect. Callie will look adoringly in it's eyes while singing Callie had a little lamb and then proceed to give him violent hugs and kisses that resemble biting his face! She gets up with it to walk around in a circle once we go into the .. And everywhere that Callie went verse... Then pretend to go to the park and slide with a modified.. He followed her to the park one day verse. She's really enjoying pretend play, it's been hard to get her to play anything else, including reading books! Gasp!
