La costa vacation

Last week we all went to La Costa with po po, uncle David and uncle Danny. We had a great time at the resort splash pad, pool, Lego land and around Carlsbad!

Quality time with popo <3

Yes I do!

Callie is such a sweet heart! I love hearing her talk and it really is amazing how her mind works. Today I asked her - are you hungry? "Yes, I am" then I asked - do you want to eat cheese? "Yes, I do" such good grammar - I don't know where she learns this stuff!

She is such a trooper because all 4 molars are coming in right now for a total of 12 teeth. We went to the dentist yesterday and Callie didn't fuss at all even with skipping her nap! She let Dr Joey clean her teeth and picked out a blue paddle ball out of the treasure chest.  They took a nice picture of Callie, mommy and po po at her first dentist appointment... So sweet!

Owies

Callie is such a little good ball. Lately she's been loving playing with this blanket and wrapping herself in it, putting it over her head and eventually it'll end up with her falling down or bumpinging her head!

She's been falling down a lot lately! Which means she's getting a few scratches on her knees that she's not to happy about! A little medicine (Neosporin), a kiss on her boo boo and a bear band aid helps her feel better. But she definitely knows how to sign pain and say hurt. Nai nai will hit the floor or whatever she bumped against with her hand and that seems to appease Callie as well. Bad crib! Bad table! Bad floor! Making Callie yiew yiew!

Callie does pick up a lot from gong gong and nai nai. Gong gong makes a clicking sound with his tongue whenever music is playing and Callie has picked up the same habit. They've taught her thumbs up (and I've taught her thumbs down) so now we can show our approval (or disapproval of others) lol!

Proud momma!

So proud of Callie today in her Little Gym class! She did so well with these other kiddos! Another little girl was starting an exercise on the bars when Callie walked in the middle of the bars to try and climb - I asked Callie to come around the front and wait her turn and Callie was so good about it!

When we were leaving, Callie saw a 3-4 yo playing with a toy and walked over. The little girl hid her toy as she wasn't ready to share. Callie just stood there for awhile then came to me and said "take turns". :) I was so proud of her self restraint and use of words!!

She did great in the class too. Although she was the youngest one there - she wasn't intimidated at all and participated and most of the activities! Yay Callie!

Muah!! Love you!

19 mo update

Callie's been very sweet lately. Her latest thing is going around and lifting ppl's shirts and poking their belly button - saying belly button - it's over there. She's also learned how to "pa-tooey" and rinse her mouth after brushing her teeth. She also puts Elmo and her friends to bed by covering them up with a blanket and giving them a few pats. My cutie pie!

Getting bigger!

Say cheese Callie!

First visit to splash pad

Callie visited the oak park splash pad today for the first time today and she loved it!! She loved running through the water and stepping on the sprays! She spent a good amount of time using her little finger to plug up a water spout! Love watching her so happy!

Callie has been singing a lot lately too! Most of the time I can't understand what she's saying but then I'll hear a word and have an aha moment!  Garble garble E I E I O! garble garble merrily merrily merrily garble garble!

She's also been doing lots of role play and enjoying being Dr. Ing. She will give shots to everyone, including herself! (Watching your kid pretend to "shoot themself" up does make you question your parenting - not gonna lie!) she'll use the little hammer on our knees to test our reflexes and will do it on herself and kick her leg too! Soo funny!
