Callie had a visitor this past week. Cody and Vanessa from philly came to visit! We went ti look at Christmas lights at the sinaloa house, and in the candy came neighborhood in moorpark. There was a wagon rode with hour chocolate. We also went ice skating at the lakes. The kids did yoga, played at the park, armer to ant hill with a card board box, Wenger we w juniper and Trevor. It was so fun to watch callie with other kids her age.sje was so fun playing fort building with cody.  She made a race car from her box and invited other kids to play with her. She also asked an older teenager who feel of his cardboard -are you okay? It was such a craxk up. She later commented that she thought he was going too fast. Ice skating was a blast. I love how confident she became - exclaiming that she knew how to ice skate now. And she was so excited to have cosy over. She would comfort him when he got upset.  Eg i d idnt mean ut! Lets tell the story of the Halloween kid.  Which is lately her favorite story... about a kid who gets hit ny hot monsters lol. But they're is super callie and bat mommy that come to help sane the day! Love u cals!

Super Callie and her big sister powers

Previously, callie was always too hesitant to hold Kelsey. But after some encouragement, she built up the confidence to hold her little sister for the first time. it might have been because of her new super hero costume?

Callie and I have been playing super heros. callie is super girl in blue and i am bat mommy in black. per callie, i do all the fighting bad guys and her job is to get medicine to give to me to help the sick guys while she stands behind me. she is such a crack up. <3

Pj pizza party

Yesterday i had the biggest mommy fail. i sent Callie to school in pjs without a lunch thinking it was pajama pizza party day. turns out its on monday and not friday. the teachers shared that callie was weepy all day and wouldnt talk about what was bothering her. when i went to pick her up she explained it was because she didnt want to be in pajamas and wanted  to go home and change. i felt so bad and apologized, explaining that i got confused. callie replied - its okay, youll remember next time. She didnt get upset with me at all. My sweetie pie.

Trick or treating at simi mall

Today we went trick or treating at the Simi mall with Audrey and her family. They were so cute! Callie insisted on being called Elsa and gave her friend so many hugs. They got lots of candy with callie loving the blue puxie stick (her favorite part of the night). They also made a paper bat craft and danced away on stage to the ghost busters song. Good times. :)

 

Snuggle bunny

One thing I love about Kelsey.. is rubbing my cheek up against her hair when I'm holding her up for burping.  Her hair is so soft and smells so good. They say that a babys head carries pheromones that makes the person love her more.  I believe it.

Look at that face! Kelsey can sleep up to 20 hrs a day, so this is a rare treat to see her up and alert!

Stretch those arms! I use a snuggle up snuggle that let's get keep her arms up by her side.  Super adorable - makes her look like she had tiny nubs for arms,  but she doesn't really get to let it stretch out much!

My little peanut

Kelsey is just too cute. It makes me sad this might be the last time we'll have a baby this little. I just want to squish her and squish her some more.

Latest sleep solution... is always so exciting when it works! A special swaddle that lets K put her hands up next to her face. No more swaddle battles! She seems to love it! K has always had her hands by her face. In every ultrasound, shes always been hiding her face behind her hands so this is perfect for her!

Swaddle plus mamaroo... you cant fight it K! You are going down! (To sleep).

K's first hair wash. She slept through it all! C's bath toy submarine sprayer has turned out to be really handy! Haha!

K has a blocked tear duct so poor thing gets a crusty eye all the time. Solution? Breast milk apparently. Not so easy is how to actually get it in there... hmmm

And this is why we need the swaddle. Lol. Athough K slept right through this too.

Frozen

So it happened.  Callie has officially entered the princess phase. No 3 year old can resist the sparkles. Add a catchy Disney tune with a princess dress in your favorite color... and its game over. Callie adores her new dress. Sje asks for her hair just like Elsas and has been twirling her dress and singing let it go. Tjis girl is so funny though. Ive caught her kissing herself in the mirror a few times. Yesterday she had been super smiley in her dress and then comes up to me saying - what do you think? And i answer - about what? C: About me! 

Lol - so funny fishing for compliments.

Newborn pictures

This past week, we did newborn and family pictures with Leslie Campbell.  She did Callie's newborn pictures and we adore her.  Kelsey and I traveled to Leslie's studio in Moorpark and we had hoped that Kelsey would be sleepy and could be moved around easily for picture posing - but she was not having it!  Poor Kelsey was tired of being poked and prodded - she just wanted to rest!  So we scheduled another session a few days later.  Leslie was so great and accommodating.

Newborn photography is pretty interesting.  Leslie told me all about the mentoring opportunities she's taken - with Anne Gedes, twig and olive, etc. Im really impressed!  That said - i was so disturbed to see Kelseys diaper rash! That was all i could focus on! Our poor baby - we're always changing her in the dark so i never knew!

First time washing hair

Kelsey finally got her hair washed after over 2 weeks!  We tried to get by with using baby powder, but it was getting too crazy. Funny thing is she stayed asleep the whole time. We were using Callies submarine shower head. So useful!
