Rhyming Callie

Callie latest favorite pastime is rhyming! She is such a little smarty pants. Ask her to rhyme with -cat, me, cow etc and she come up with some rhymes for you! She thinks it hilarious though!! Def keeps this mommy on her toes. How'd you grow up so fast C??

Graduating from 2015 school year!

Callie is growing up! She finished the 2015 school year at R&W! They are a great little school and have great large blocks for their imagination (this was a rocket ship) and they got to vote on which peppers they liked to eat. (Callie said red, but I don't think she liked any of them!) her teachers Sarah and Diana are the best, just look at those smiles!!

Cousins

It's always so much fun with the cousins come to visit! Although Judah is still a little young, Callie and mikki are having a grand old time!!

Going shopping

Recently C rediscovered her strawberry shortcake shopping cart. She put moo moo in it and promptly went to town grabbing things to buy! I gave her a purse full of coins and it was so cute to watch her pay me in coins everything she was purchasing (a box, keys, balls). Check out the video!

Happy fathers Day

Cutie pie Callie made daddy so happy with his Father's Day gift! Now I want a video of you saying I love you!! Waaahh!

Bedtime

Love my cuddles with C. She is obsessed with her blue short sleeve shirt - so much we had to find two more off eBay. Milk is judged with a thumbs up or thumbs down depending on whether it's warm enough. You crack me up!

Funny sayings...

Callie is super talkative now! She is 2.5yo and it's so much fun!

Today, Callie wanted out of her car seat. I had to explain to her that she needs to be in her car seat to stay safe. I showed her my adult seat belt and explained that I need to be safe too.

C: when I am big, I will wear your seatbelt!

Me: yes! You will wear an adult seatbelt when you are big.

C: and when you are small, you can sit on my car seat and I will buckle you up.

Today, dr Rubin said it's time (long overdue) to give up the bottle. So today at bedtime i explained we would not be using a bottle.

Me: Callie you are a big girl now. You do not need a bottle anymore. Babies use bottles. Bottles hurt your teeth and yoi have lots of teeth, you are a big girl. Babies have no teeth. You are growing up!

Callie: no no!!! (Crying) I don't want to! I want to grow down!!!

You crack me up sweetie. I love you.

Strawberry season

It's been strawberry season and we've been picking lots of strawberries as of late. Nai nai even came with us and we ended up with 7 lbs of strawberries In our bag and 2 lbs in our bellies. Callie had no problem giving thumbs up and this down to the best and worst strawberries in the field!

I'm afraid it won't come up...

And it did!!! Callie's carrot plant at school! She loves watching it grow and we are super excited. Particularly of interest is the new (old) cash register. C loves to pretend buy veggies in everyone's favorite color (blue - Callie, yellow - mommy, green - daddy, orange - moo moo). I never knew how important color is to little toddlers!

My gym graduate!

Callie has had so much fun at mygym! She's been doing forward rolls and wheelbarrows and all sorts of fun things! We've been going every Tuesday and I love watching you gain your confidence to go on the big beam and jump down off the big platforms.

Favorite part is her swinging like a monkey!  Here she is with Ms Lindsay! Your body is amazing! Look at all the great things it can do!
