Today is the first day of June and what if consider our first day of summer! I'm excited for all the summer fun that lies ahead for Callie! Her Saturday classes ended yesterday and we are going to miss Ms.Bonnie very much! She helped us be better parents and was so good and insightful on Callie - we're very fortunate to have been a part of the Horizon Hills parenting program! Yesterday I realized just how grown up Callie was sitting with her classmates (L-R - Marcus, Devon, Trevor, Katelyn) eating their mid day snacks. Since it was the last day and this is a co-op, we had to take the tables and chairs outside to hose off. Poor Callie was still eating her string cheese (2), strawberries (2), banana mini-muffin, blueberries and cheese crackers long after everyone had finished and left. After waiting some time - mommy literally just took the table from out of her, and put her plate on an adjacent chair. Callie just sat there for the next 10 min finishing up her snack in an empty snack room sans tables/chairs! Ms. Bonnie gave Callie a little bead necklace with a medal with her name on it as a end of the year award - but Callie would have none of it! Bye! Bye! She says! Lol!
We had Callie's first swim class at dalans swim school today and mommy couldn't be prouder! Callie put her head under water (well more like mommy put her head under water) and didn't cry! And she climbed out of the pool and hAd lots of giggles and laughs! Best part - she didn't poop in the water (although she did pee on daddy promptly after her swim diaper was removed) and didn't yank of mommy's swimming suit too! That is a success!
