This 4th of July weekend has been pretty nuts! Jam packed and super hot, with a few adventures thrown in!
Callie and mommy spent a morning with kayley jie jie and baby Andrew in Santa Monica! It was nice to get the kiddos together and they bonded over bubble guns, shared mum mums and music. Douglas park in SM is nice for toddlers as they have ducks and turtles. Mommy had a trenta sized iced tea (31oz!) while there and was rushing to get home!

Once we got home - we found the entry through the garage was locked!! Poor mommy and Callie - stuck in 90+ degree heat! Thank goodness mommy kept her empty trenta cup - what goes in must come out and mommy was in full on survivor mode! We headed our way to the park while waiting for daddy to drive back from the OC, we made the best of the situation in 95 degree heat.

Even after all that, we still made dinner possible to make sure Callie stayed well fed. Whew!!

Saturday was swim class and SB zoo day! We saw a gorilla up close and Callie started feeling a little spooked. We headed over to the Dino show afterwards and stood right up next to the stage with all the other little boys and girls, which was probably a bad idea. Mommy waved at the t-Rex and it started coming our way with a big roar! I've never seen Callie so scared! Lots of tears and signing "scared"! Poor Callie! After lots of hugs and kisses, Callie calmed down and we spent the rest of the day sliding down the "ant" hill and playing in eggs. :)
